Day 153 - Cherry Compote


Someone posted a very thought provoking post on a blog about what exactly the word 'Foodie' means. Whether it had to do with certain criteria such as knowing the difference between a confit (basically something cooked to death in oil over low heat) and a compote.. A cooked fruit.. well Never attempted a confit before even though I've seen some amazing recipes around. Here's a recipe for a cherry compote.. The fruits are in season now, so go ahead & indulge.
