Day 88 - Annelini Upma (Pasta)

The tiny pasta shapes are a godsend for me. Especially that get well cooked under 5 minutes. This gives me the opportunity to make fresh dishes for my kids lunch. The added advantage is the variation in texture that these shapes provide. Its an integral aspect of the dishes.
Today's dish is a classic South Indian Upma made with tiny ring shaped pasta known as annelini. The advantage of this shape is that it has enough surface area to get toasted evenly before boiling. the toasting adds a nutty aroma & taste to the pasta and lifts it to a whole new level.
