Day 30 - Turnip 'Kootu' / Stew with toasted chickpeas (Vegan)



I had this divine turnip stew at Dakshin Restaurant at the Park Sheraton in Chennai. Definitely one of those dishes you want to have over and over again. Luckily Turnip season was in full swing at the Union square Farmers Market, and they were perfect for this stew. The Gravy is a toasted chickpea puree. The nuttiness of the legumes and the earthy flavor of the turnips are a perfect match!
